The new exhibition “China is not far away!” focuses on both events, their connections, and the challenging situation of democratic dissidence in China today. Alongside three shipping containers displaying historical exhibits and eyewitness accounts, a five-meter-tall replica of the Goddess of Democracy is on display.
The exhibition opens on November 7 at 8 am on the forecourt of the Berliner Abgeordnetenhaus (Berlin House of Representatives) and can be visited all day until November 10. Afterward, the exhibition will be displayed in front of the Axel Springer Building for one month starting on November 15.
China is not far away!’ is a joint project of the Axel Springer Freedom Foundation, the Berlin Commissioner for the Reappraisal of the SED Dictatorship, Humanitarian China / Human Rights in China and the Robert-Havemann-Society.
