Thirty-five years after the fall of the Berlin Wall, the question of cultural unity and belonging continues to play a central role and is directly linked to memories of a divided country. How is the cultural memory space of the GDR constituted and developed? What perspectives are there, which are still untold, who has power over the narratives, and what narratives do we need?
